China Consumer Protection Foundation was approved by the People's Bank of China and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It was formally established in June 1989+0 1. The Association is a consumer organization established in accordance with the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Consumers' Rights and Interests and a public welfare social group established in accordance with the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Public Donation. Our aim is to protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, improve their status and promote the development of consumer protection. Actively implement the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Consumers' Rights and Interests, and give consumers the right to organize the purchase of goods and services.

China Consumers Association was approved to be established in the State Council on June 1984+02. It is a national social organization that conducts social supervision on goods and services and protects the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

The purpose of China Consumers Association is to supervise goods and services, protect consumers' legitimate rights and interests, guide consumers to spend reasonably and scientifically, and promote the healthy development of socialist market economy.

The funds of China Consumers Association are allocated by the government and sponsored by the society.

Statutory appointment ability

According to the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Consumers' Rights and Interests, China Consumers Association and its associations at all levels under its guidance perform the following seven functions:

1. Provide consumers with consumption information and consulting services;

2 to participate in the supervision and inspection of goods and services by the relevant administrative departments;

3. Reflect, inquire and make suggestions to the relevant administrative departments on the legitimate rights and interests of consumers;

4. Accepting consumer complaints, and investigating and mediating the complaints;

5 complaints concerning the quality of goods and services may be submitted to the appraisal department, which shall inform the appraisal conclusion;

6. Support the injured consumers to file a lawsuit against acts that harm the legitimate rights and interests of consumers;

7. Expose and criticize behaviors that harm consumers' legitimate rights and interests through mass media.

Knitting mechanism

The organization of China Consumers Association is the Council. The directors are elected by relevant government departments, people's organizations, news media, consumer associations of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and cities under separate state planning (committees, the same below) and consumer representatives from all relevant parties through consultation. The plenary meeting of the Council is held once a year. During the intersessional period, the Permanent Council exercises its functions and powers. The daily work of the association is undertaken by the permanent office, and the secretary-general and deputy secretary-general are in full-time management and are responsible to the president.
