1. In areas where social pooling of maternity insurance is implemented, the payment standard shall be paid according to the average monthly salary of employees in the previous year, with a period of not less than 98 days;

In areas where social co-ordination of maternity insurance is not implemented, maternity allowance is paid by enterprises or units, and the standard is the basic salary and price subsidy for female employees before giving birth, and the period is generally 98 days. In some areas, professional women who marry late and have children late are encouraged to extend the period of maternity allowance appropriately.
What are the ways to receive maternity allowance?
1. After pregnancy, bring the household registration book, marriage certificate, ID card and other relevant documents, and the unit manager will handle the maternity insurance medical registration. Determine the hospital for delivery and check-up;
2. Pay attention to the need to apply for a birth permit;
Take the medical registration form to the hospital when giving birth. This is convenient for the social security bureau and the hospital to use maternity insurance for settlement after checking;
4. After giving birth to the child, apply for the one-child certificate with the medical registration form, discharge summary (official seal), marriage certificate, household registration book, ID card and other related documents. The unit manager will apply to the Social Security Bureau for maternity allowance.
In summary, the maternity allowance is applied to the Social Security Bureau.

Employees shall participate in maternity insurance, and the employer shall pay maternity insurance premiums in accordance with state regulations, and employees shall not pay maternity insurance premiums.

The employer has paid maternity insurance, and its employees enjoy maternity insurance benefits; Unemployed spouses of employees enjoy maternity medical expenses in accordance with state regulations. The required funds are paid from the maternity insurance fund.

Article 55
Maternity medical expenses include the following contents:
(1) Maternity medical expenses;
(two) family planning medical expenses;
(3) Other project expenses stipulated by laws and regulations.
Article 56
Workers in any of the following circumstances can enjoy maternity allowance in accordance with state regulations:
(1) Female employees enjoy maternity leave;
(2) Enjoy family planning operation leave;
(3) Other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.
Maternity allowance is calculated and paid according to the average monthly salary of employees in the previous year of the employer.
