There are three factors for you, please refer to:
1.
Cultural restoration promotes economic and social development
Thirty years ago, the western industrialized architectural model occupied a dominant position, while the city we lived in was constantly giving up the heritage of traditional architecture. In response, in 1977, we established the "Aga Khan World Architecture Award", established a trust fund, carried out a series of academic exchange activities, and promoted the construction of 2 different architectural projects in 9 countries. Each project took about 1 years to complete, which brought a lot of investment and tourists and improved the living standards of local people and people in marginal areas.
in the last 1 years, the total investment of this project is as high as 182 million dollars, and more than 25% of it comes from our partners. This figure sounds small, but it has achieved great effects.
Just like in 25, in the poorest neighborhood of Cairo, 2, residents have lived in the ruins of buildings for hundreds of years. We boldly restored various temples, palaces and city walls there, while local residents participated in various cultural heritage restoration skills training courses, and more than 2 local residents participated in the restoration work. We set a goal from the beginning: every reconstruction project must drive the development of society. Nowadays, it has become a very active cultural shrine. The income growth of residents far exceeds that of the whole Cairo region. The whole society is changing, and all kinds of evil social phenomena in the past are out of sight.
after doing these things, I feel deeply that as long as we make a good plan, cultural restoration will inevitably have a good social and economic impact. In any case, culture can help people realize their ideal of pursuing a high-quality life in a very unique and remarkable way.
2.
Culture is the power to conquer life again
After the earthquake in Haiti in January p>21, UNESCO promised to do its best to save Haiti's cultural heritage. In this context, the International Coordinating Committee for Haitian Cultural Heritage was established, which cooperated with local authorities in Haiti to assist the Haitian government in restoring cultural heritage.
In fact, we also use many artistic ways to help the local people.
For example, organize some young artists to hold a film festival under the stars there, so that people can tell their own disasters every day, and then go through these tests.
Another example is to enhance social cohesion through visual arts, animation, singing and dancing, and movies, so as to attract many local people to sing together and let them feel that culture still exists when their homes are destroyed.
Therefore, art or culture has its unique significance, which is the power for us to conquer life again and regain our dignity. Our reconstruction work has fully considered the cultural characteristics, prospects and cultural heritage of Haiti, and how to realize their local aesthetic characteristics and their national pride.
in my opinion, the best aid is the one that can really help out of the predicament. UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization have been helping Haiti to complete such a major challenge. Influenced by us, Haiti's Minister of Human Rights and Law also created a plan called "Crossroads of Wealth", so that artists living in poor neighborhoods can get some support and stop them from being marginalized.
3.
Cultural industry promotes urban civilization
After 3 years of rapid development, China's urbanization has gone from extensive development stage to connotative development.
In the past, cities were proud of building skyscrapers, but now cities pay more attention to enhancing the image of civilization and increasing people's cultural identity. Major cultural projects have great influence and played a key role in promoting the development of urban civilization.
For example, Wanda Wuhan Central Cultural District, a project with culture as its core and functions of tourism, business and residence, has become a must-see for Wuhan tourism and the first choice for people to relax.
Another example is our Wanda Cinema and American MC Cinema, which not only enriched the amateur cultural life of China people and American people, but also brought very good economic benefits to enterprises.
Therefore, from the practice of our enterprise development, especially the investment in cultural industries, it can be proved that investing in cultural industries is an opportunity for enterprises and also a need of society, which can not only achieve good economic effects, but also produce outstanding social effects. The vigorous development of cultural industries by enterprises will surely contribute to the harmonious development of society and the sustainable development of society.
