The Wu Jieping Medical Award was established by the Wu Jieping Medical Foundation. It is a high-level award in the field of medicine and health in my country approved by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is mainly used to reward outstanding achievements in medical clinical, scientific research, education, public health and health undertakings. Individuals who have made outstanding contributions and achieved remarkable results in management and other work are intended to carry forward the noble medical ethics and medical style of the older generation of medical workers such as Academician Wu Jieping, and improve the scientific and technological innovation capabilities and clinical medical service levels of the majority of medical workers. The Wu Jieping Medical Award is the highest-level individual award in the Chinese medical community. The review committee is composed of my country's famous medical experts and scholars. The review committee is chaired by Academician Han Qide, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology. Since its establishment in 2007, it has been awarded annually.
