China's first exclusive universal insurance protection plan for elderly patients with chronic diseases was released.

Zhonghui Property Mutual Insurance Co., Ltd. recently released the first exclusive inclusive insurance protection plan for elderly patients with chronic diseases in China to provide risk protection for elderly patients with chronic diseases who receive health management.

Mutual insurance does not aim at pursuing short-term interests and profits, but provides risk protection for high-risk areas and low-and middle-income people. The pressure of medical expenses for the elderly with chronic diseases is great, but the traditional commercial insurance requires higher physical conditions of the insured, and the insurance products suitable for the elderly are insufficient. China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) recently issued a notice, explicitly requesting to raise the upper age limit for insurance to meet the insurance protection needs of the elderly aged 70 and over.

According to reports, the exclusive universal insurance protection plan has broken through the difficulty of "unable to insure" the elderly with chronic diseases, and can provide serious illness hospitalization medical insurance, special outpatient medical insurance and cancer-specific drug medical insurance premium for the elderly with chronic diseases under 65,438+0,000 years of age. Implemented in Anhui, Shanxi, Guizhou and other places, the maximum annual insurance coverage is 300,000 yuan, and the premium is donated by Beijing Aier Public Welfare Foundation.

Li Jing, chairman of Zhonghui Mutual, said that unlike traditional commercial health insurance, this plan does not pay any unit or individual fees and commissions, and strictly controls operating costs. The annual balance will be returned as sickness allowance, and the resources will be used for the health protection and management of the elderly with chronic diseases to the maximum extent.

Zhou, the former vice chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, believes that this exclusive inclusive insurance protection plan fills the "blank" in the protection of elderly patients with chronic diseases, which can effectively reduce the burden of patients with serious illness and avoid poverty or returning to poverty due to illness.

Now the incidence of diseases is getting higher and higher, especially with the increase of age. However, due to age, physical condition and other reasons, many elderly people can't take out many insurances in the market, especially those with chronic diseases. This exclusive universal insurance can give these old people their own protection.
