On July 27th, the awarding ceremony of "Li and Fang Juzhen Education Scholarship" was held in the conference room of Laizhou Education and Sports Bureau. This year, 9 undergraduates, 3 graduate students, 2 university-level student union cadres in Laizhou were admitted to Tsinghua and Peking University, and 3 Laixi students were awarded educational scholarships. The meeting was presided over by Tan Xibin, deputy director of Laizhou Bureau of Retired Veteran Cadres. Zhan, deputy director of Laizhou Municipal Bureau of Education and Sports, Pan, deputy director of Laixi Municipal Bureau of Education and Sports, Li, the donor, and Mr. Li Xiaopu, the son of the town attended the ceremony. Lin spoke on behalf of the award-winning students. The education scholarship was jointly established by the revolutionary couple Ms. Fang Juzhen (Laizhou) and the late Mr. Li (Laixi), aiming at encouraging students in their hometown to study hard and make great efforts to become talents with excellent academic performance and useful for national development and social progress. Ms. Fang Juzhen donated 2 million yuan as a scholarship fund to award outstanding students admitted to Tsinghua and Peking University in Laizhou and Laixi every year. Since 2007, it has been awarded once a year, with a bonus of 654.38 million yuan per person. Up to now, 300,000 yuan of educational scholarships have been awarded to 30 students.
