Nethersole College of Nursing, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, formerly known as the Department of Nursing of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, was established in 199 1 year, and is the earliest undergraduate nursing department in Hong Kong. Through high-quality and innovative nursing health education and scientific research, our hospital actively trains outstanding nurses to join the nursing industry, and strives to improve the health of individuals and communities locally, in the Asia-Pacific region and even around the world, and promote the development of nursing specialty in Hong Kong. Thanks to the generous donation of Alice Ho Miaoling Nethersole Charity Fund in Hong Kong, our hospital was officially named Nethersole Nursing College on 1 month 1 day in 2002. In the spirit of Excellence, we will continue to devote ourselves to nursing education and scientific research to promote quality nursing practice.

In order to cope with the rapid aging of the population in Hong Kong, our hospital began to offer gerontology courses in 20 12, in addition to nursing courses. The completion of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in our college will help to enhance the competitiveness and professional development of our graduates in Hong Kong and around the world. Nethersole College of Nursing, with its excellent teaching and scientific research, is committed to cultivating caring and professional nursing leaders with both ability and political integrity, and promoting the highest level of quality nursing and medical and health practice. The motto of the college is "caring for compassion and serving the society", which shows that the college is committed to serving the society with a high degree of enthusiasm and compassion.

Nethersole Nursing School is the first nursing training school in Hong Kong, which was founded by Nethersole Hospital in 1893. The school adheres to the motto of Nethersole Hospital and strives to cultivate excellent nurses for the benefit of patients and people in need. For more than a hundred years, the school has actively promoted nursing education and trained talents, and peaches and plums are all over the world. Stepping into the 2 1 century, with the changes of the times, nursing education is gradually provided by colleges and universities. In order to commemorate the contribution of Nethersole Nursing School to the nursing field in Hong Kong and inherit its mission of nursing education, and thanks to the generous support of Alice Ho Miaoling Nethersole Charity Fund, CUHK Nursing College was officially named Nethersole Nursing School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2002.
