In-depth research has been conducted on the resources, chemical composition, and pharmacological effects of the Chinese genus Pseudomonas genus and the Taiwanese caper. In addition, he also participated in the research on the chemical composition and pharmacological activities of terrestrial Chinese herbal medicines such as Polygala Polygala, Phytolacca, and Torreya, and marine animal and plant medicines such as Laminaria leucophylla, Phytophthora spp., S. bicolor, and Trichosanthes striata.
Using modern science and technology, we conducted systematic research on a variety of folk medicines and marine animals and plants in my country, and obtained new skeleton active lead compounds with good research and development value. The novel structural types of compounds discovered not only enrich the research content of traditional Chinese medicine chemistry and organic chemistry, but also have important academic value. At the same time, the series of derivatives obtained through chemical synthesis with the lead compound as the target have higher anti-tumor activity than the original lead compound.
Received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China three times (No. 30271533, 30572213, 3077263), the Army’s “Ninth Five-Year Plan” Medical Research Fund (No.: 98M169), and the National Natural Science Foundation of China International Cooperation and Exchange Fund (No. 98M169). 2003, 2004) and the Ministry of Education’s Overseas Study Return Start-up Fund; in 2006, he received the Army’s “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” Outstanding Talent Fund (No. 06J001); and participated in research projects funded by the NCI Fund in the United States.
The research results in the past five years have been published in Tetrahedron Letters, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, Journal of Natural Products, Synth. More than 100 research papers have been published in core journals such as "Chinese Herbal Medicine", "Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal", "Chinese Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine", "Chinese Journal of Marine Medicine", "Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the People's Liberation Army", etc., of which nearly 30 were written by the first author and have been collected by SCI. More than 30 articles have been published. Obtained 10 national invention patents, 7 of which have been authorized, and applied for 1 US PCT international patent.
In addition, Director Wu has now begun to delve deeper into the field of pharmacoeconomics and has made effective suggestions to some national policy departments.
