I. Interconnection
It is a physical link between the operator's network and equipment or facilities that are not in the network. The term may refer to a connection between an operator's facilities and equipment belonging to its customers (inter-equipment interconnection), or a connection between two (or more) operators (inter-network interconnection). In American law, interconnection is specifically defined as (47C. F.R.5 1.5) "A link between two or more networks for two-way exchange of communication traffic". One of the important tools for managers to introduce competition in the telecom market is to force the dominant operators to realize the demand of interconnection.
The Chinese Mission to the European Union and the European Commission jointly held a seminar on China-EU investment and connectivity in Brussels on 201KLOC-0/51October 9, focusing on topics such as the connection between the Belt and Road Initiative and the European investment plan, cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries, China-EU connectivity and digital economy cooperation.
Second, the significance
Yang Yanyi, head of the Chinese Mission to the European Union, pointed out that the 17th China-EU Leaders' Meeting, China-EU High-level Strategic Dialogue, High-level Economic and Trade Dialogue and High-level People-to-People Dialogue were held one after another, which further clarified the orientation, development direction and priority cooperation areas of China-EU relations. The two sides reached important consensus on the docking of the "Belt and Road Initiative" with European investment plans, the establishment of an interconnection platform, the development of digital economy and network security cooperation, the initiation of legal affairs dialogue, and the facilitation of personnel exchanges, and took practical steps to implement them. China-EU negotiations on a comprehensive investment agreement continued to advance, progress was made in the construction of investment funds, and cooperation in the fields of finance, energy, scientific and technological innovation, sustainable development, urbanization and China-Central and Eastern Europe was further strengthened. China and Europe should take a long-term view, treat their relations positively and rationally, transcend differences in social systems, cultural traditions and ideologies, respect their respective development paths, regard each other's development as a major opportunity for bilateral cooperation, enhance strategic communication and political mutual trust, tap the great potential of development strategy docking, enrich the connotation of cooperation, enhance the level of cooperation, promote the sustained, healthy and stable development of China-EU relations, and lead the trend of world development and reform.
