Japan Foundation for International Exchange, formerly a special legal person under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is a specialized institution established by 1972 to promote international cultural exchanges in Japan. On 200312/0, it was renamed as The Japan Foundation, an independent administrative legal person.
