From March 3, 20 17, the National Scholarship Fund Committee will no longer collect deposits for overseas students funded by the National Scholarship Fund. On March 8, 20 17, the National Scholarship Fund Committee issued the Announcement on No Longer Receiving Foreign Students' Deposit from the National Scholarship Fund, stipulating that "starting from March 3, 20 17, no longer receiving foreign students' deposit from the National Scholarship Fund".

Students studying abroad still need to go through the notarization formalities of signing the Agreement on Aid for Studying Abroad, and must register the information of returning home in the national public study abroad management information platform within 3 months from the date of returning home.
