Merger process:
1. Select a social security account, transfer the insurance status and balance in another social security account to another account, and go to the Social Security Bureau for processing.
2. Go to the original social security bureau to transfer the social security originally paid, and go to the current social security bureau to merge the original account.
The merger of two social insurance numbers can be handled in the following ways:
1. If the ID number and name of the reserved number are correct and the merged number is suspended, and the ID number or name is wrong, the social security agency will merge the individual social security number, and then the local tax department will directly cancel the merged number;
2. If the ID number or name of the reserved number is wrong, and the combined number is suspended and corrected, the social security agency will issue a business cooperation letter asking the local tax department to modify the personal basic information first, and then return to the social security agency to operate according to the original business process of the combined personal social security number.
3. The insured person not only has the payment history of urban workers, but also has the insurance experience of urban and rural residents, farmers who moved into rural areas and landless farmers, and has multiple personal social security numbers because of their different identities, and will apply for it when they reach the legal retirement age.
To sum up, if a citizen has two social security numbers, it is obviously wrong when handling it. Interim Measures for the Administration of Social Insurance Registration
Article 12 In case of dissolution, bankruptcy, cancellation or merger of the payer, it shall timely apply to the original social insurance registration authority for cancellation of social insurance registration.
Thirteenth payment units shall, within 30 days from the date of cancellation of registration by the administrative department for Industry and commerce, apply to the original social insurance registration institution for cancellation of social insurance registration; Payment units that do not need to cancel registration in the administrative department for industry and commerce according to regulations shall apply to the original social insurance registration institution for cancellation of registration of social insurance within 30 days from the date of approval or announcement of termination by the relevant authorities.
Where the business license of the payer is revoked by the administrative department for industry and commerce, it shall, within 30 days from the date of revocation of the business license, apply to the original social insurance registration institution for cancellation of registration.
Article 14. If the change of residence or address of production and business operation involves the change of social insurance registration institution, the payer shall, within 30 days from the date of the above change, go through the cancellation of social insurance registration at the original social insurance registration institution and go through the social insurance registration at the social insurance agency in the place where it moves in.
Fifteenth payment units shall settle the social insurance premiums, late fees and fines payable before going through the cancellation of social insurance registration.
When handling the cancellation of social insurance registration, the payer shall submit an application for cancellation of social insurance registration, legal documents or other relevant cancellation documents, and go through the formalities for cancellation of social insurance registration with the approval of the social insurance agency, and submit the social insurance registration certificate.
