Xin 'an Tour Group established by 1935 and Children's Troupe established by 1937 are the earliest progressive children's troupes.
During the Anti-Japanese War, Chongqing Yucai School Drama Troupe, Kunming Children's Drama Troupe, Shanghai Yaodong Drama Club and other children's drama organizations were established in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region and Shanghai. They all contributed to the development of children's drama in China under difficult circumstances.
1949 The China Welfare Foundation founded by Soong Ching Ling established a children's drama troupe, which is the oldest children's drama troupe in China. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, China's outstanding children's dramas included March in Paradise, Monkey King, Little Master and Watch.
After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), more than 20 children's drama groups have been established in Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Liaoning, Sichuan, Yunnan, Ningxia, Urumqi, Xi, Shijiazhuang and Anshan. Among them are China Children's Art Theatre, China Welfare Institute Children's Art Theatre and Beijing Children's Art Troupe. Academy troupes from all over the country have successively created and performed The Wolf, Treasure Boat, Malanhua, Newsboy, Revolutionary Family, Gun, Childlike Heart, Youth League, Orchard Sisters, Shuangshuang and Grandma, Miss Grassland and Clever Daughter-in-law.
From 65438 to 0982, the Ministry of Culture held the first national children's drama performance.
1986 held the first national school drama award, which successively produced a number of new children's dramas such as Zhu, Brothers, Soong Ching Ling and Children, and Twinkling Stars.
1983, China Children's Drama Research Association was established in Beijing.
