The latest standards for funeral expenses for retirees in 2022 are as follows:

1. Funeral allowances and one-time pensions will be issued to employees in normal retirement, early retirement due to illness, and early retirement in special types of work after their death. ;

2. The standard for funeral subsidy is 3 months of the previous year’s average social wage, and the standard for one-time pension is 10 months of the previous year’s average social wage, totaling 13 months of funeral pension.

Legal basis: Article 39 of the "Regulations on Work-related Injury Insurance"

If an employee dies on the job, his close relatives shall be employed by the work-related injury insurance fund in accordance with the following provisions

Receive funeral subsidy, dependent relative's pension and one-time work-related death subsidy:

(1) The funeral subsidy is the average monthly salary of employees in the coordinating area for the previous year for 6 months.

(2) Dependent relatives pension shall be paid according to a certain proportion of the employee's salary to relatives who provided the main source of livelihood and were unable to work for the employee who died on the job. The standard is: 40% per month for spouses, 30% per month for each other relative, and an additional 10% per month for the elderly or orphans on the basis of the above standards.
