China confucius foundation founded the academic quarterly Confucius Studies on 1986. Gu Mu, honorary president, wrote the Introduction.

It is pointed out: "The study of Confucius takes Marxism as the guiding ideology and advocates the scientific methods of dialectical materialism and historical materialism for academic research. But this garden does not rule out valuable research results obtained through other methods. " Up to 1992, 28 issues have been published and more than 600 academic papers have been published. It has collected the research achievements of colleagues from Hongkong, Taiwan Province, Japan, Singapore and the United States, and reported the academic trends of Confucius research at home and abroad. He has also organized the editing and publishing of Collected Papers on Confucius Studies in Recent 40 Years (1987), Collected Papers on International Symposium on Confucianism (1989), Collected Papers on the 2540th Anniversary of Confucius' Birth and International Symposium (1992) and China Traditional Thought and Culture Series (6544).

Since its establishment, the Association has established contacts with social groups, academic organizations, famous scholars, celebrities and political activists who are concerned about Confucius research activities in many countries and regions. He has received Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, Second Deputy Prime Minister, former Deputy Prime Minister, Heck, Chairman of the German Adenauer Foundation, Professor Zheng Zhongying from the University of Hawaii and Professor from Harvard University, Gao from Tsukuba University in Japan, Sungkyunkwan University in Korea, and Secretary General of the Confucius Institute in Taiwan Province Province. Honorary President Gu Mu, President and Executive Vice President Wu Fuheng, Gong and Xin visited Singapore, Germany and Switzerland respectively. Through welcoming and visiting, we exchanged views on international academic exchanges, enhanced mutual understanding and friendship, and laid a good foundation for further international academic activities.
