The China-Korea Bilateral Quality Forum is a traditional meeting between China and South Korea in the field of quality. Sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Korea National Research Foundation, the participants are top scholars in the field of quality management in China and South Korea. Professor Ma of our school was given the opportunity to host this conference, which was jointly funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Korea National Research Foundation, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of our school, the College of Science and Technology and the School of Economics and Management.

The theme of this forum is "Quality Innovation under Big Data", and the opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Hui Guangping, Dean of School of Economics and Management and Chairman of Project Committee. The chairman of the meeting, Professor Vice Governor of Henan Province, Professor Wang Lianjun, Vice President of our school, Professor REE SangBok, President of Korea Quality Management Association, Director of International Cooperation Bureau of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Director Liu of Management Science Department of National Natural Science Foundation of China delivered speeches respectively.

The report of the meeting was presided over by Professor He Zhen and Professor Tu, vice-chairmen of the meeting respectively. Professor Tu, a Zijin scholar in our school, gave a keynote speech entitled "Quality Engineering and Quality Management Driven by Big Data and Cloud Computing". Professor Park Sung-hyun from Seoul National University, Professor Park Sang-can from Kyung Hee University, Professor Shin Wan Seon from Sungkyunkwan University, Professor Jiang Wei from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor He Zhen from Tianjin University and Professor Liu Yumin from Zhengzhou University gave wonderful conference reports and had interactive exchanges with the participants. The seminar was divided into six groups, and more than 48 papers were exchanged by 100 representatives, covering supply chain quality, reliability engineering, experimental design and modeling, statistical process control, quality management and so on.

More than 40 representatives from more than 20 Korean universities attended the seminar, and more than 80 representatives from more than 20 universities in China including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Xi Jiaotong University, Tianjin University, Tongji University, Sun Yat-sen University, Shandong University, Beijing Institute of Technology and Northeastern University attended the seminar. During the meeting, a number of Chinese and Korean professors reached the intention of academic cooperation, and planned to deepen bilateral cooperation between China and South Korea through bilateral research fund projects, exchange of students, joint training of doctors, and industrial cooperation.
