Baicheng City is located in the plain area at the eastern foot of the Daxinganling Mountains. The climate is a temperate continental monsoon climate. It borders Qiangarros Mongolian Autonomous County and Qian'an County in Songyuan City, Jilin Province to the east and southeast; it borders Changling County in Songyuan City, Jilin Province to the south.
It is connected to the Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner, Tuquan County, and Horqin Right Front Banner of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to the west and northwest; to the north and northeast, it faces Tailai County, Duerbot Mongolian Autonomous County, and Zhaoyuan County of Heilongjiang Province across the river.
The city is 230 kilometers long from north to south and 211 kilometers wide from east to west.
