20 14, the college obtained the authorization point of master's degree in journalism and communication. In 20 19, the college was awarded the master's degree in journalism and communication. 20 19 officially changed its name to College of Humanities and Communication.

In the past five years, the teachers of the college have published nearly 20 academic monographs, more than 50 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects such as major projects of the National Social Science Fund, and nearly 300 papers in national key academic journals.
