How to treat closed-end funds that cannot be traded?
This situation is normal.

For those new funds that have just been raised, their fund products have just obtained relevant funds. The manager needs to configure and sort out the positions of this fund and allocate the positions at the same time, so the fund closure period will be set. So for investors, many people will choose to subscribe for new funds. Although the new fund will have a closed period at the beginning, as long as it passes the closed period, it can still reap the corresponding share.

First, new funds generally have a closed period.

Let's just give an example. At present, a fund product has raised 200 million. The main configuration of this fund product is about the new energy sector. After raising the target funds, the fund manager of this fund product needs to allocate this 200 million yuan. It is possible that some of it will be used to buy stocks in the new energy sector, some will be used to buy bonds to hedge risks, and some will be used for major emergency deposits. During this period, if the scale of fund products continues to change, it will significantly affect the operation of fund managers.

Second, no transactions can be made during the closed period.

As I said above, the new fund needs to set a closed period when allocating positions. During this period, investors cannot buy and redeem funds, nor can they make fixed investment. At present, the closing period of new funds in the market is generally short, which may be as fast as one month and as slow as a few months. For those fund products that have been marked as closed for a long time, investors need to fully judge their investment strategies before subscribing.

Third, the closure period can also be replaced.

If you really need urgent money during the closed period, although you can't operate the fund, you can get the corresponding cash through replacement, which is generally carried out in the secondary market. It should be noted that although you get the cash, the essence of your replacement still belongs to exchange, not transaction. Therefore, in principle, no transactions can be made during the closed period.
