Protect the rights and interests of consumers in accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Law and other laws, regulations, rules and industrial and commercial administrative functions.

The China Consumer Protection Foundation was approved by the People's Bank of China and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and was officially established in November 1989.

The Association is a national, non-profit, independent corporate body.

It was rated Level 1A in the 2017 Foundation Assessment Scale.
