Question: In the "Avalokitesvara Sutra", the Buddha told Vaidehi that those who want to be reborn in that country (Western Bliss) should practice the three blessings.
There are many contents in the Three Blessings. How to operate them to ensure your rebirth?
Please have mercy on the Master.
Master Da'an replied: We need to know how the three blessings of pure karma are revealed. When Mrs. Vaidehi saw all the Buddha lands in other worlds, she specifically chose the Western Paradise to be reborn, so she asked the Buddha to reveal them.
Teach me how to think and how to be reborn.
The Buddha's request to Vaidehi did not directly explain the method of thinking and experiencing, but first revealed the three blessings of pure karma - worldly blessings, Hinayana blessings, and Mahayana blessings.
So what is the purpose of manifesting the three blessings of pure karma?
Revealing the goodness of concentration, using a mind that is rightly concentrated and rightly feeling, to visualize the upright and solemn world of bliss in the West. This is not something that sentient beings with distracted minds can visualize. Therefore, in order to save those sentient beings who have basic foundations, we must first reveal the three blessings of pure karma.
Although their ability to visualize is insufficient and they do not have enough faith in the one way to be reborn in the Pure Land, we can give them a bridge and a transition. By cultivating the three blessings of pure karma, the blessings will be transformed into wisdom to a certain extent. Only when wisdom is revealed can they believe in the one way to be reborn in the Buddha.
, only then can they use their wisdom to visualize the righteous and majestic Western Paradise.
Therefore, from this perspective, the three blessings of purifying karma are a prerequisite for allowing sentient beings to practice in order.
If you have the opportunity, start by trusting and willing to uphold the name, and you will be reborn without any convenience.
Before we pass away, we all play a certain social role. What kind of behavioral norms should we follow in life?
By cultivating the three blessings of pure karma, we know that we must be kind and non-killing and cultivate compassion; we must perform the ten good deeds; we must be filial to our parents and serve our teachers. In this way, we can become a moral gentleman in the world and further uphold the three blessings.
Take refuge and fulfill all the precepts, develop Mahayana Bodhicitta, firmly believe in cause and effect, and encourage practitioners to read and recite Mahayana.
Master Shandao said that if we practice the three blessings at the same time, we can be reborn if we recite the name of Buddha, and we can be reborn if we practice one blessing.
Or, you firmly believe that if you are willing to uphold the name, you will be reborn.
