2) The national study abroad fund is selected by means of "individual application, unit recommendation, expert evaluation and merit-based admission". According to the requirements of the project, the admission notice will be forwarded through the relevant accepting institutions or sent directly to the applicant's unit by the Overseas Study Fund Committee.
3) Before going abroad, public officials need to sign a service agreement for returning home with the National Scholarship Fund Committee and pay a deposit. The original work unit should issue a letter of guarantee to accept it, and also find two people with formal jobs (preferably civil servants) and fixed income to sign a letter of guarantee for notarization. After returning to China, the service period is 2 years (not necessarily returning to work in the original unit), and the deposit will be recovered with the registration certificate of the work unit.
4) The official study abroad of the National Scholarship Fund Committee generally does not include tuition fees. It is an international practice for outstanding students not to pay tuition fees. Scholarships provided by the National Fund for Studying Abroad for public graduate students include food, accommodation, transportation, telephone, books and materials, medical insurance, communication, one-time placement and pocket money. After the publicly-funded graduate students arrive in the country of study abroad, they should proceed from the actual situation of the country of study abroad and purchase medical insurance in time according to the requirements of the government or research institutions of the country of study abroad.
