Wu Yong was born in Wuhan, Hubei Province in 1965. In 1984, he was admitted to the Decoration Department of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, majoring in book binding. After graduation in 1988, he was assigned to China Youth Publishing House, and served as the deputy director of the art editing room of China Youth Publishing House. At present, he is the Deputy Secretary-General of the Central Committee of Binding Art Committee and the art consultant of UNICEF (China). Wu Yong Design Studio of China Youth Publishing House was established in 1998.
