Tianjin: The deferred payment of provident fund by the unit does not affect the employee's mortgage.
At the recent press conference on prevention and control of epidemic situation in Tianjin 109, Wang, director of the Municipal Housing Provident Fund Management Center, explained the relevant policies on phased holdover of housing provident fund.

On February 27th, the city issued a special implementation policy to clarify that units affected by the epidemic can apply for phased holdover of housing provident fund according to regulations. As of March 27th, there are 1485 units in the city that have delayed payment of housing provident fund by stages, involving 94,800 employees, and it is estimated that the housing provident fund will be delayed by 473 million yuan.

According to reports, in addition to enterprises, private non-enterprise units, foundations, social organizations and law firms engaged in production and business activities can also apply for deferred payment of housing provident fund. Since the outbreak, the municipal housing provident fund management center has conducted a comprehensive investigation on the housing provident fund deposit units in this city, and formulated targeted service measures in combination with the different situations of the units. For units that have resumed work and production, take the initiative to solicit opinions and service needs; For units that are temporarily difficult to pay due to the epidemic, actively publicize policies and guide units to apply for holdover. City Housing Provident Fund Management Center has also set up green channels in various management departments to facilitate units to quickly handle housing provident fund deposit business such as holdover. At the same time, it is clear that during the epidemic period, the unit can handle deposit registration, deferred payment and adjustment of deposit amount by mail.

Wang said that the unit's handling of deferred payment does not affect employees' application for loans. According to the original policy of this Municipality, employees applying for housing provident fund loans must continuously deposit housing provident fund 1 year. In order to cope with the epidemic and effectively solve the burden on units and employees, the policy has been adjusted to allow employees to apply for housing provident fund loans before June 30 this year. If the unit delays the payment of housing provident fund due to the epidemic, it will be regarded as normal payment.
