What's the difference between banking and fund industry?
1. Different exam subjects
The fund qualification examination includes three subjects: fund laws and regulations, professional ethics and business norms, basic knowledge of securities investment funds and basic knowledge of private investment funds. Among them, subject 1 is a compulsory subject, and subject 2 and subject 3 are optional subjects. Candidates need to pass subject 1 and subject 2 or subject 1 and subject 3 within four years.
The bank qualification examination includes six subjects, of which banking laws and regulations and comprehensive ability are compulsory subjects, and risk management, corporate credit, personal finance, bank management and personal loans are optional subjects. Candidates need to choose one of these five subjects and pass two exams before they can obtain the banking qualification certificate.
2. The test questions are different.
The topics of the fund qualification examination are all multiple-choice questions. In addition to ordinary multiple-choice questions and combination multiple-choice questions, there are usually about two comprehensive multiple-choice questions in a set of questions. The bank qualification examination questions involve multiple-choice questions, multiple-choice questions and judgment questions. If it is an intermediate bank qualification examination, it will also involve comprehensive questions.
Which is better, a bank or a fund?
Fund qualification certificate and bank qualification certificate have different employment directions and relatively good gold content. In fact, no one is necessarily better than anyone else. Candidates can make their own decisions according to their career plans and hobbies when choosing.
If you are inclined to the development of the fund industry and want to engage in commercial banks (including foreign-funded corporate banks in China), securities companies, futures companies, insurance companies and other related work, then you can obtain the qualification certificate for fund practice.
If you prefer banking and want to work in China CITIC Bank and China Postal Savings Bank after graduation, you can obtain a banking qualification certificate.
