1970 graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology, majoring in polymer, and stayed as a teacher. At present, he is a professor and doctoral supervisor. 1995- 1997, sent by the Ministry of Education, is a senior visiting scholar at McGill University in Canada, engaged in the research of nano-polymers and atomic force microscopy. In 2003, he was a visiting professor at the Institute of Polymers of Karlsruhe University in Germany. He has been engaged in the research on the synthesis and application of new functional polymers, and his main research interests are new functional polymers (photoelectric, separation, intelligence, controlled release, low dimension, self-assembly, etc.). ), polymer nanomaterials, water-soluble polymers, targeted medical polymers and polymers with special structures. The project leader undertakes key scientific research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation, sinopec group, China Academy of Space Technology and General Armament Department. The project "Research on Polymer Materials for Satellites" completed by China Academy of Space Technology has been successfully applied to China's communication satellites and manned spaceflight projects, and is praised as "the application of polymer materials in high-tech fields has made contributions". Won the first prize of ministerial science and technology and the second prize of Northern Industry-University-Research. He has published more than 80 papers in important journals at home and abroad, including SCI and EI papers 18. He published 4 monographs, and the monographs "On Surface Analysis of Materials" and "Introduction to Electron Spectroscopy" won the National Science and Technology Book Publishing Fund.
He taught postgraduate courses such as polymer chemistry and physics, material interface science and postgraduate English, and won the first prize of school-level teaching achievement. The research group has advanced instruments such as Fourier transform infrared spectrometer of PE company in the United States, elemental analyzer of elementar company in Germany, fluorescence spectrometer of Hitachi company and LDV viscometer of Brookfield company in the United States.
