China Red Cross Society is a social relief group engaged in humanitarian work and an important member of the International Red Cross Movement.

Soong Ching Ling Foundation was established in May, 1982, in memory of Soong Ching Ling, honorary chairman of People's Republic of China (PRC). Its purpose is to commemorate Soong Ching Ling's national honorary seat, inherit and carry forward the spirit of children's cultural, educational and welfare that she cared about and engaged in all her life, cultivate children's all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and beauty, and make contributions to enhancing international friendship and world peace.
