2.1 Theoretical Physics of Modern Physics Department of China University of Science and Technology

The main research field of theoretical physics is to explore the mystery of material microstructure, study the structure and motion law of atoms, molecules and elementary particles, and the evolution law of complex systems. It is the first batch of master's programs, doctoral programs and postdoctoral mobile stations in China. There are 8 professors (including 7 doctoral supervisors), 2 associate professors and 3 lecturers (all doctoral students who graduated in recent years). Organize teaching and scientific research in the following directions:

Modern quantum field theory and particle physics

Atomic and molecular theory and strong field physics

Brief introduction:

Our research group's recent main research directions are atomic and molecular theory in strong field, the interaction between strong laser field and plasma, and non-perturbation theoretical methods in quantum physics. Among the research projects undertaken by the National Natural Science Foundation in recent years, there are: "Theoretical study on the collision at the ultra-fine structure level of interstellar molecules", "Laser-assisted electron-atom collision process" and "High-order harmonics generated by the interaction between ultra-short pulse laser and high-density plasma". One of the 863-ICF research projects is "Study on Atomic Parameters in the Environment of Strong Laser Field". In recent years (1997-21), about 51 articles have been published.

Introduction of Quantum Theory Group

Quantum Theory Group was formally established on February 22nd, 22, with Professor Wang Anmin in charge. It belongs to the national key discipline-theoretical physics major of the Department of Modern Physics of China University of Science and Technology and the Institute of Theoretical Physics of China University of Science and Technology, and has a complete post-doctoral, doctoral and master's training system. As of August 28, there are five doctoral students and seven master students in the quantum theory group. And has trained one postdoctoral fellow, seven doctors and two masters, and accepted one doctoral student for short-term exchange between China and the United States. Based on three servers, our group has established a local area network including more than a dozen PCs and workstations, and realized the management environment of Share Point service. At present, our group undertakes a number of scientific research tasks including the "973" sub-project and the National Natural Science Foundation.

To study quantum theory and its application, focusing on the development of basic theoretical framework, the study of basic physical concepts, the solution of important theoretical problems, the calculation of main physical quantities, the development of practical applications and the suggestions of experimental schemes. It mainly includes: exact solutions and perturbation theory of quantum dynamics and quantum field theory and their calculations and applications in multi-body strongly correlated system physics, quantum simulation and quantum computing, decoherence of open systems, quantum chromodynamics and particle physics; The calculation and application of quantum nonlocality theory in quantum entanglement, quantum information resources, quantum communication, quantum programming, quantum remote protocol and quantum internet, as well as quantum theory and application problems in other cross-fields.
