He received his bachelor's degree and master's degree from Sun Yat-sen University in 1989 and 1992 respectively. He received his doctorate from South China University of Technology in 2005 and was promoted to professor in the same year.

In 2003, he was selected into the “Thousands and Hundreds Project” talent training program of Guangdong Province.

From September 2008 to July 2009, he received funding from the China Scholarship Council for studying abroad and visited Norway as a visiting professor.

In recent years, he has presided over one National Natural Science Foundation project and two Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, participated in many National Natural Science Foundation projects and Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, and presided over the publication of one professional book and one core course textbook.

He has published more than 40 papers as the first author in authoritative domestic and foreign publications and international academic conferences, including 2 papers included in the SCI Scientific Literature Index and 10 papers included in the EI Engineering Index.

He once served as the deputy director of the Department of Information Management Engineering and the director of the Department of Business Administration. He is currently the director of the Department of Management Science and Engineering. He also serves as a communications review expert for National Natural Science Foundation projects and other part-time social work.
