Nansan Town, Kang County, Lincang Town, which borders Kokang, hosted tens of thousands of Kokang refugees in August 2009. Six years later, it has once again become one of the most important points for refugees to enter China. Kokang 125 Rescue Station, located near the 125 boundary pillar, was established by Kokang Welfare Foundation, Kokang Gospel Drug Rehabilitation Center and other non-governmental organizations. Since the establishment of 12 in February, in just four days, more than 2,000 refugees have gathered here, with the largest number reaching about 4,800 at a time. Today, there are still about 3,000 people in the camp, mostly women and children. The rescue station is located in Kokang 125 industrial park, Myanmar. A broad asphalt road separates China from here, opposite Nansan Industrial Park. The border armed police set up checkpoints here, and the Nansan125th border checkpoint is open from 8: 00 to 20: 00 every day. Soldiers armed with guns stand upright in front of the checkpoint, and refugees carrying big bags and small bags can only be allowed to enter after they show their red-stamped documents.
The refugee camps are mixed and the situation is "complicated". In the official refugee camp set up by the China government, militia and police maintain order, while in the Kokang 125 rescue station, refugees themselves become volunteers, form a security team and patrol Wei 'an. Divided into four classes, each class 10 people, patrol and check in turn. Petty theft will still happen, and most of them will be let go after education. Anyone caught taking drugs will be confiscated on the spot and destroyed immediately. People with mental disorders will be kept in a room alone, provided with meals every day, and released after he recovers. At about 9: 30 pm on March 4, a public security volunteer named Zhou was shot dead in a refugee camp less than 15 meters from the office. Until now, the murderer is still a mystery.
