Free lunch is a non-governmental public welfare project set up by a media person, a group of intellectual elites, a new media tool and millions of donors at a time when the traditional public welfare model has been questioned due to Guo Meimei's incident. The purpose is to make children in poor areas "eat well" and be more nutritious. "Free lunch" fermented from the Internet to create a miracle. The project hopes that the free lunch will become a cross-platform cooperative action. After decades of concerted efforts, students in China will be free from hunger. In order to respect the wishes of donors, donations are currently allocated to schools through four channels: free lunch fund of Fokien Foundation, free lunch of Metropolitan Express (located in Hangzhou Charity Association), free lunch of Qianzhong Morning Post (located in Guizhou Youth Foundation), and targeted funding from individuals and enterprises.
The transparency and efficiency of the project won the trust of donors. As of September 211, more than 16.9 million yuan was raised in just over five months, and free lunches were cooked for more than 1, children in 77 schools.
"Kangzhihong Face Fund" later joined the free lunch program, and will go to several national poverty-stricken counties to distribute free lunches to poor children through local women's federations, so as to improve the nutritional conditions and health status of poor children.
