Lijiang College of Guangxi Normal University was founded in May, 20001year. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it is a full-time application-oriented undergraduate college (independent college) organized by Guangxi Normal University according to the new mechanism and model. The school is the executive director of China Independent College Cooperation Association and a member of Guangxi Universities of Applied Sciences (College) Alliance.
The school is located in Guilin, a national historical and cultural city, on the bank of Lijiang River, at the foot of Yanshan Mountain, across the road from Yanshan Campus of Guangxi Normal University. The campus covers an area of nearly 900 mu, with a building area of 2 1.92 million square meters. There are 908,700 books in the library, 96 multimedia classrooms and more than 90 experimental training places (rooms) with total assets exceeding 600 million. The professional structure of "one body, two wings and four clusters" is based on modern service industry, teacher education and humanities and social sciences, and consists of four professional clusters: cultural creativity and education services, financial and business services and legal services, information and communication technology services, and tourism+sports rehabilitation services. There are 2 characteristic majors in Guangxi universities, innovation and entrepreneurship education demonstration major 1, independent transformation and development pilot major (group), independent collaborative education (construction) platform, independent experimental teaching demonstration (construction) center, college students' independent off-campus practice teaching base and college students' independent entrepreneurship demonstration base, and 9 key majors and key supporting construction majors in Guangxi private universities.
