In June and July, REC Group signed these contracts with Indian companies Cleanmax Solar( 16MW roof project), Fourth Partner Energy(22MW public access project) and SunSource(7MW roof project).
Among the supplied components, nearly 40MW are the TwinPeak 2S 72 series products of REC, including half-cut PERC battery and double-sided component design. According to the company, the half-cut PERC battery and double-sided module design have better performance under shielding conditions.
Rohit Kumar, head of REC Indian subcontinent, told PV Tech that REC Group supplied 145MW to India last year, of which 60MW was the product of roof project and 85MW was the product of ground power station project. This year, the company will supply 100MW before the end of September, of which 70MW will be used for roof projects.
