Wimbledon was founded in 1889, and 1988 defeated Liverpool to win the FA Cup, which was the culmination of the team's glory. In 2000, the team was relegated from the Super League. In 2002, Stuart Murdoch became the manager of the team and moved the team from London to the small town of Milton Keynes, where the home stadium was the National Hockey Field. In 2004, the team was relegated from League One and renamed Milton Keynes Club in the same year.
Now Milton Keynes Downes is struggling in the second division (the fourth division after the Premier League, the British Championship and the League One), and he has won two games and lost one, ranking eighth.
