As long as lung cancer patients participate in medical insurance, the medical expenses incurred in the treatment of lung cancer can be reimbursed. Of course, if the drugs or therapeutic devices used to treat lung cancer are not included in the scope of medical insurance reimbursement, the expenses incurred cannot be reimbursed. Moreover, according to different medical insurance, the proportion of reimbursement for lung cancer treatment costs is different. According to the national medical insurance policy, if patients participate in serious illness rescue medical treatment, the proportion of possible reimbursement will be higher. Medical expenses and appliances for lung cancer cannot be reimbursed, and the amount of reimbursement depends on local policies. Most patients with lung cancer need surgery, and their friends spend a lot of money. Of course, if the patient chooses a public hospital to treat the disease, then the patient can reimburse part of the expenses. About 70% of the treatment expenses of lung cancer patients may be reimbursed. If the patient belongs to medical insurance in different places, the reimbursement ratio will be reduced.

Legal basis: Article 29 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that the part of the medical expenses of the insured who should be paid by the basic medical insurance fund shall be directly settled by the social insurance agency, medical institution and pharmaceutical business unit. The administrative department of social insurance and the administrative department of health shall establish a settlement system for medical expenses in different places to facilitate the insured to enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits.
