Ma Jie has served as the deputy director of the Total Quality Management Office of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, the deputy director of the Quality Management Office and the deputy director of the 283 Factory.

On September 5th, 2000, she was appointed as the director of No.283 Factory in the Second Hospital of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, becoming the first female director since the establishment of No.283 Factory.

She was awarded the titles of "Women's Model Worker, Top Ten Outstanding Female Workers, Outstanding Youth of Central State Organs, and National March 8th Red Flag Bearer".

He has won the national special prize for scientific and technological progress 1 item, the second prize for ministerial scientific and technological progress 1 item, two second prizes for management innovation of national defense industrial enterprises and two third prizes.

He has won the China Aerospace Fund Award and the 50-year Great Contribution Award to China's space industry, and enjoys special government allowances.

In 2008, Ma Jie was elected as the representative of the 11th National People's Congress (Tianjin).
