Scholarships or financial aid places unilaterally donated by the national government, schools, groups or international organizations to the Chinese government or units shall be nominated by our side after examination.

The scholarships and funding fees received by the above-mentioned personnel will be at their own disposal and used for all expenses such as study and living.

Among them, if the scholarships and financial aid fees received by publicly funded overseas students sent by the National Education Commission according to the national plan are lower than the national fee standards for similar overseas students, the embassy or consulate will make up the amount.

Those who do not fall into the above situations shall be handled according to relevant regulations.

(2) For those who have obtained foreign scholarships and financial aid in cash before going abroad, the overseas students will be responsible for their own air tickets (car and boat tickets), clothing subsidy, and scattered foreign exchange during the trip.

For those who study abroad and receive foreign scholarships and financial aid after going abroad, the air tickets (or car or boat tickets) and clothing subsidies originally provided by the National Education Commission will generally not be returned.

If the other party can reimburse the overseas travel expenses after arriving in the host country, the money should be returned to the embassy or consulate.

You will have to pay for your own travel expenses back home. If you are short, the embassy or consulate will make up for it.

(3) If overseas students go abroad and receive foreign scholarships or funding fees due to their outstanding academic and scientific research achievements during the period of state funding, they will be placed at their own disposal and state funding will be suspended.

However, if the scholarship or funding fee obtained is lower than the fee standard issued by the original country, in addition to being made up by the embassy or consulate, appropriate rewards will be given; if the scholarship or funding fee is equal to or slightly higher than the fee standard issued by the original country, appropriate rewards will also be given.

The above reward portion shall be within 25% of the scholarship or financial aid received by the individual. The specific standards and reward methods shall be determined by the embassy or consulate based on the actual situation.

After the period of enjoying state public funds expires, the reward part will be stopped.

After arriving abroad, any overseas student who has obtained a tuition fee reduction (called experimental fee in some countries) through personal efforts will be encouraged by the embassy or consulate, which is equivalent to 10% of the fee reduction, depending on the situation.

(4) Income from part-time work of college students and graduate students selected by the state, such as income from work-study programs during holidays, manuscript fees, etc.; one-time economic income received by trainee trainees, such as bonuses, international conference fees, temporary lecture remuneration, and health care subsidies.

(5) Those studying abroad who enjoy public funds from the state or foreign scholarships and subsidies must not only carry forward the fine tradition of building the country through diligence and thrift, and work hard, but also maintain the dignity of our overseas students.

In the use of funds, the normal needs of personal health, scientific research, and life abroad should be ensured, and the needs of foreign academic exchanges should be ensured.
