After the China Red Cross was informed, the Red Cross Society of China has launched an emergency response to the earthquake of magnitude 7.0 that happened in Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province that night.

After the earthquake, China Red Cross has urgently allocated 1000 family bags, 2,000 quilts and 200 tents from Meishan Warehouse of Chengdu Disaster Preparedness and Relief Center. Sichuan Red Cross Society has sent disaster relief teams to the disaster area, and the first disaster relief teams of Deyang Red Cross Society have been sent to the disaster area.

At the same time, the China Red Cross Foundation also launched the "Angel Tour-Jiuzhai Action" in1that night, and sent a working group to the disaster area to understand and evaluate the disaster situation, and arranged emergency funds of 654.38 million yuan to support emergency rescue. Subsequent disaster relief work will be followed up at any time according to the disaster situation.

Race against the clock: Aba Red Cross launched the first-level emergency plan.

After the disaster occurred, Aba Prefecture urgently launched the first-level emergency plan for earthquake disasters and established the state emergency front-line headquarters. The Red Cross Society of Aba Prefecture responded immediately and put into emergency rescue work in accordance with the unified arrangements of the State Party Committee and the State Government:

First, immediately convene an emergency meeting, make arrangements, understand the disaster situation, and prepare relief materials;

Second, half an hour after the disaster, an emergency commando team was set up, led by Lei Ying, a member of the party group and vice president of the State Red Cross Society, to the nearby Jiuzhaigou disaster area;

Third, in conjunction with the Songpan Red Cross Society, 400 tents were urgently allocated from the Songpan Disaster Preparedness Emergency Center in Aba Prefecture and transported to the disaster area;

Fourth, stick to your post and recall the vacationers. Geng Pei, Party Secretary and Executive Vice President, will attend classes at the National Red Cross Society. Red Cross staff will be on duty 24 hours a day and actively prepare tents, quilts and other materials to be sent to the disaster area.

Fifth, notify the Red Cross Societies in the counties around the disaster areas such as Zoige and Hongyuan to prepare materials, organize rescue workers and stand by at any time.
