QDII is the acronym of (Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor) (qualified domestic institutional investor). It is a securities investment fund established within the territory of a country and approved by the relevant departments of that country to engage in the investment business of securities such as stocks and bonds in overseas capital markets.
● Banking Department QDII
Bank QDII products can directly invest in overseas stock markets. At present, 19 banks in China have obtained QDII qualification.
● Insurance Department QDII
In addition to money market instruments and fixed income products, insurance QDII investment scope also includes equity products such as stocks, equity, equity products and equity funds. At present, three insurance companies such as China Life Insurance, PICC China and Ping An China have obtained QDII qualification, but these insurance companies have not yet launched QDII products for investors.
● Fund Department QDII
In September 2006, China launched the first pilot fund QDII product-Huaan International Allocation Fund. But overall, QDII has been in a state of no rules to follow, and its business has stagnated. At present, with the implementation of the new regulations of the CSRC, more fund companies are expected to be qualified to invest in overseas stock markets, and their QDII business is accelerating.

The procedures for QDII products of banks are relatively simple. Investors only need to hold their ID cards and go through the relevant formalities in the form of cash or transfer.

● Fund Department QDII
At present, there is only one QDII product of the fund company-Huaan International Allocation Fund, which is subscribed in US dollars, with a unit face value of 1 US dollar and a minimum subscription amount of 5,000 US dollars.
