The history of the World Memory Championship can be traced back to 199 1 year. The first World Memory Championship was held under the sponsorship of the British Brain Foundation. After thirteen years of development, the World Memory Championship has become the most influential international competition for brain thinking. Every year, thousands of memory players from more than 30 countries around the world sign up for the competition, representing the international brain thinking competition with the highest level of memory technology in the world.
With the increasing influence of the competition, more and more countries begin to attach importance to and participate in the competition, and almost all the world powers send players to participate. Until 2003, two young people in China, Jason and Wang Maohua, participated in the world's highest-level memory competition for the first time, and stood out among many strong hands. They all won the "Master of World Memory" award and won the honor for China.
The "Master of World Memory" award is an important award in the World Memory Championship. It represents the highest evaluation of the winner's memory level by the organizing committee of the World Memory Championship, and also represents the winner's outstanding performance in memory skills and application.
Under the sponsorship of WMSC, the World Memory Championship is held every year, and people all over the world are more and more interested in memory sports. So far, the World Memory Championship has been successfully held in the following countries: Australia, South Africa, Singapore, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, the United States and the United Kingdom.
In the 2005 World Memory Championship, German Clemens Mayer won the championship with a total score of 6,240 points, breaking the highest record of the World Memory Championship. Dr gunther karsten won the silver medal in the 2005 World Memory Championship with 5990 points. Joachim Thaler won the bronze medal in the 2005 World Memory Championship with 5582 points.
The World Memory Championship challenges the limits of human memory. There are 10 events, namely: binary numbers, virtual historical events (dates), hour cards, hour numbers, poetry memory (poems), random words, poker shorthand (Speed Wards) and numbers.
