Guiyang Light Rail 1 Line starts from the west side of Jinyang New District and the south side of Jinzhu Road. After setting up a station in Maixi Village of Wild Duck Country, the planned intersection of Jinzhu Road and Jinxi Road turns south, passes through Jinyang Gymnasium and is laid along the center of Yingbin Road. After passing Jinyang Administrative Center, go south to the right side of Guanshan Reservoir, cross Lijiadapo, cross Daguan, go east along Guanshan Road, cross Guizun Expressway, and then turn south to Yangjiazhuang via Gongguyan.

Then, the line turns north to Zhan County, crosses the Central North Line to Campengpo, turns south to the top of Jianpo, crosses the Sichuan-Guizhou Railway, bypasses the Xiaoguan Reservoir, enters the Forest Park, then crosses the Central North Line to the south and turns to Shibei Road via Maochong East.

Go southeast along Shibei Road, via Yanwu Street and Beijing Road, along Zhonghua Road to the fountain and Grand Cross, along Zunyi Road, under Nanming River, under Xinjiekou and Jiefang Road, under Guiyang Railway Station, eastward via Yuchang Road to Chaoyang East Road, and then via Bishan Road to Wangcheng Road.

The line continues southbound, passes through the Yangtze River Road and the planned Shanghai-Kunming Railway, and then passes through Qingshuijiang Road and Southwest Ring Road, reaching the west side of Wu Wang Prison, the end of the line.
