Bank of China: How do I calculate the floating gains and losses of funds?
China Bank official website replied:

The calculation method of fund floating profit and loss is as follows:

Floating profit and loss (i.e. current income) = ending market value-beginning market value+(redemption amount+transfer-out amount+cash dividend)-(subscription/subscription amount+transfer-in amount)

The floating profit and loss is for reference only, subject to the data of the fund company.

Meaning of related nouns in the formula:

1) Market value at the end of the period: the net value of fund transactions at the end of the period × your position share at the end of the period.

2) Initial market value: the subscription share when you first subscribed for the Fund × the net value of the initial transaction.

3) Redemption amount: the redemption amount during the period when you hold the Fund = ∑ redemption share × net transaction value on redemption date.

4) Transfer-out amount: the transfer-out amount during the period when you hold the Fund = ∑ transfer-out share (fund transfer-out, non-transaction transfer-out, custody transfer-out and reduction) × net transaction value on the transfer-out date.

5) Cash dividend: the sum of the accumulated cash dividends of the fund during the holding period.

6) Subscription/subscription amount: the subscription/subscription amount during the period when you hold the Fund = ∑ subscription/subscription share × net transaction amount on the subscription/subscription day.

7) Transfer-in amount: the transfer-in amount during the period when you hold the Fund = ∑ Transfer-in share (fund conversion transfer, non-transaction transfer, transfer custody and forced increase) × the net transaction value on the transfer-out date.

Tips: The market value at the end of the period is calculated according to the net value of the day recorded by the fund system of the Bank. For holiday inquiry, the actual net value of the transaction should be the net value of the next working day according to the net value of the previous working day.
