Zhou Ting is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Bee Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the director of the Key Open Laboratory of Pollinator Biology of the Ministry of Agriculture. He concurrently serves as a member of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, director of the Chinese Apiculture Bee Conservation Committee, and a member of the Veterinary Drug Review Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture. Mainly engaged in animal and bee pathology and pest control work, he has presided over 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 1 social welfare research project of the Ministry of Science and Technology Research Institute, and 2 Ministry of Science and Technology agricultural achievement transformation projects. Presided over the formulation of 5 national and industry standards. "Comprehensive prevention and control technology and system of bee diseases and insect pests in the production of high-quality bee products" won the second prize of the 2006 Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Science and Technology Progress Award and the third prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award (first completer), and obtained two national invention patent authorizations (the first First completer, second completer) to train four masters and two doctoral students. He has published 20 academic papers in well-known professional journals at home and abroad, more than 20 articles in influential domestic beekeeping journals, and edited or co-edited 5 beekeeping books.
