Step 1: Unemployment registration
Bring my ID card, household registration book or residence certificate to the community under my jurisdiction for unemployment certificate, and then bring my unemployment certificate, ID card, two-inch bareheaded photo, termination of labor contract and other materials to the local labor and employment department for unemployment registration.
Step 2: Review
After registering for unemployment, the local labor and employment department will review whether you meet the requirements, and once you pass, you will be issued with an unemployment certificate.
Step 3: Apply for unemployment benefits.
After completing the unemployment registration and obtaining the unemployment certificate, you can apply for unemployment insurance benefits. Give the ID card, unemployment certificate and other information to the staff of the Social Security Bureau, and the staff of the Social Security Bureau will review whether it meets the conditions for receiving unemployment benefits.
Step 4: Receive unemployment benefits.
Article 70 of the Labor Law
The state develops social insurance, establishes social insurance system and social insurance fund, so that workers can get help and compensation in old age, illness, work injury, unemployment and childbirth.
Article 73
Workers shall enjoy social insurance benefits according to law under the following circumstances: (1) Retirement; (2) Being sick or injured; (3) Being disabled at work or suffering from occupational diseases; (4) unemployment; (5) bearing. After the death of an employee, his survivors shall enjoy the survivors' allowance according to law. The conditions and standards for workers to enjoy social insurance benefits shall be stipulated by laws and regulations. Social insurance premiums enjoyed by workers must be paid in full and on time.
