After the fund pays dividends, the net value of the unit decreases. If it is a cash dividend, the fund share remains unchanged. If it is dividend reinvestment, the fund share will increase.

No matter which dividend method is chosen, the net value of the fund after dividend is the price after dividend.

As long as you buy on the trading day before the ex-dividend date, you will participate in the dividend, regardless of the holding time.
