Legal basis: Article 12 of the Regulations of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the fund management institution shall complete the preliminary examination of the application materials within 45 days from the deadline for fund project application. In accordance with the provisions of these regulations, it shall be accepted, and the basic information of the applicant and the name of the supporting unit and the name of the project applying for fund support shall be announced. In any of the following circumstances, the application shall not be accepted, and the applicant shall be notified in writing through the supporting unit, explaining the reasons: (1) the applicant does not meet the conditions stipulated in these regulations; (2) the application materials do not meet the requirements of the annual fund project guide; (3) The number of funded projects applied by the applicant exceeds the number stipulated by the fund management institution.
