Yu Min is a little-known nuclear physicist known as China's "father of the hydrogen bomb."

Among the several pioneers of nuclear physics in China, Yu Min is the only one who does not have a background in studying abroad.

In the theoretical exploration of hydrogen bombs, Yu Min almost started from a blank sheet of paper and relied on his own diligence to draw inferences from one example.

Overcoming many difficulties and conducting independent research and development, it solved a series of basic problems in the development of hydrogen bombs.

In 1967, China completed a hydrogen bomb nuclear explosion experiment.

Yu Min's main achievements: Mr. Yu Min was born in Ninghe, Tianjin on August 16, 1926.

He graduated from the Department of Physics of Peking University in 1949 and studied as a postgraduate student at Peking University from 1949 to 1951.

Mr. Yu Min was awarded the title of “National Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contribution” in 1984, the “National May Day Labor Medal” in 1985, the title of “National Model Worker” in 1987, and the Special Prize of Guanghua Award in 1992.
