"Minutes of Cross-Strait Charter Opportunity Negotiations" and "Cross-Strait Agreement on Mainland Residents Traveling to Taiwan".
According to information released by the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China, on the morning of June 13, 2008, Chen Yunlin, President of the Association for Relations Across the Straits, and Jiang Bingkun, Chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation, signed the "Cross-Strait Agreement" at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
"Minutes of the Charter Negotiation" and the "Agreement between the Cross-Strait on Mainland Residents Traveling to Taiwan", both the minutes and the agreement will take effect 7 days from the date of signing.
This agreement is to enhance exchanges between people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and promote tourism between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. The Association for Cross-Strait Relations and the Straits Exchange Foundation, a legal person foundation, reached an agreement through equal consultation on mainland residents traveling to Taiwan and other related cross-strait tourism matters.
