In order to further promote the cultivation of doctoral students in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and improve the quality of awarding doctoral degrees, the Graduate School of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics has successively introduced the methods for selecting and rewarding excellent doctoral and master's dissertations, the trial measures for cultivating excellent doctoral dissertations and the implementation measures for anonymous evaluation of doctoral dissertations, and established the doctoral dissertation innovation and excellence fund. We have worked out the implementation opinions on the curriculum construction plan of "Bilingual Teaching" for postgraduate students, which has promoted the overall improvement of the quality of postgraduate students, especially doctoral students. The school has won 3 national excellent doctoral dissertations, 1 provincial excellent doctoral dissertations and 25 provincial excellent master's dissertations.

At present, according to the needs of national economic construction and social development, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is rationally adjusting the discipline layout, optimizing the discipline structure, actively developing postgraduate education, and implementing the development strategy of "people-oriented, focusing on connotation, strengthening characteristics, accelerating development, and creating first-class", in order to complete the construction tasks put forward by Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan and long-term plan, and to build Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics into a university with aviation, aerospace and civil aviation characteristics.
