"Shu Xuanhua Cattle" was cultivated by Sichuan Animal Husbandry Research Institute and Sichuan Xuanhan Animal Husbandry and Food Bureau from 1978 in Xuanhan County, Sichuan Province. "Shu Xuanhua Cattle" is a new breed of dairy beef cattle with Sichuan Xuanhan Yellow Cattle as female parent and Swiss Simmental Cattle and Holstein Cow Bull as male parent, which has been crossed and fixed and selected for four generations. This kind of cattle is gentle in temperament, with the characteristics of rapid growth and development, excellent milk and meat production performance, strong resistance, hot and humid climate resistance, rough feeding, and wide adaptability to the natural climate of high temperature and high humidity and low temperature and high humidity in southern China and extensive feeding and management conditions in agricultural areas. It is well received by the local people and widely recognized by the society.
"Shu Xuan Hua Niu" has a total population of more than 30 thousand, mainly distributed in nearly 30 towns and villages in Xuanhan County. There are more than 8,000 basic cows and 400 bulls in the breeding area, including core cows 1.300. At present, it has been extended to Guizhou, Yunnan, Tibet, Chongqing, Henan, Fujian, Shanghai and other provinces and cities and nearly 20 cities (prefectures) in the province. A total of 56,065,438+067 beef cattle, 8,399 dairy cows and 897 breeding cattle were sold outside the breeding area.
